Case Study: Not Going To Uni

Who are they?

Not Going to Uni are a website designed to support young people who are considering their future options in regards to employment, apprenticeships and gap years. The site has a job board, employer directory, student case studies and an advice blog.

The NGTU offer has recently expanded to create an online membership website (NGTU for schools), which allows schools to access content that they can use to educate their students. In addition to this, they have also launched a NGTU group website that showcases their full offer to employers (NGTU Group).

What did we do for them?

Not Going to Uni: Although the website has a high number of visitors, their Managing Director, Conor, felt there was still room for improvement to ensure the website ranked against key terms, was user friendly and had a strong backlink strategy in place.

We provide Not going to Uni with a proficient outreach strategy, building high quality backlinks to relevant websites as part of an ongoing SEO plan, as well as managing their Google Search Console set up to manage rankings and spot any potential opportunities moving forward. We also manage Google Ads and Paid Social campaigns for Not Going to Uni as part of their ongoing digital strategy. Our goal is to help our client increase their Search Engine ranking position to increase not just volumes of traffic, but the right kind of traffic.

In addition to driving traffic to the website, we support NGTU by managing their online social community. This includes content creation (social media posts and blogs), scheduling and responses via their Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter pages. Since we have taken over the management of NGTU’s social media channels, they have seen an increase in impressions by 498.4%, increase in engagement of 427% and an increase of click throughs to their website of 333.6%.

NGTU Group: We built the NGTU Group website to showcase the full offer for employers looking to engage with a younger demographic and increase the visibility of their early careers brand. The website includes a blog and maintenance package that allows NGTU to update and add information at any time.

NGTU for Schools: In addition to the NGTU Group site, we also built a full membership site for NGTU’s schools partners to utilise. The site is a simple information site however, once logged in, schools are able to access a range of resources, including powerpoints, pdfs and videos, to utilise in their school’s lesson.
